Dissidia at 50%, Tidus and Jecht Revealed

The anticipated Dissidia: Final Fantasy action game for Sony PSP has been getting more exposure lately, with the newest set of scans from the Famistu magazine revealing that Final Fantasy X stars Tidus and Jecht are in the game.

The new images show off several of their moves, including Tidus performing his "Energy Rain" overdrive (it even has the little sliding bar and timer from FFX) and Jecht transforming into his aeon form. The stage is similar to the area inside Sin where the final battle with Jecht occurs, complete with the flaming "J" in the background and giant sword sticking out of the floor. It all looks as good as their PS2 counterparts--maybe even better, with all of that detail compressed into a small screen. We're certainly excited to see the game in action.

Also, an interview with Tetsuya Nomura was recently translated. In it he confirms:

Max character level is 100
Each character has a unique skill
Treasure chests can be opened mid-battle
Roster is around 20 characters, but there may be some surprise appearances
Gil and AP will be in the game, though their use is still secret
Dissidia is 50% complete, with all characters already finished
